Snuck in a bit of golf this week - I was up in Collingtree park last week up in Northampton, it’s a great course it was however not my best day - my driving got the best of me and I was a bit skew-whiff all afternoon!!!!
It was the second time I’ve played at the course and it’s a cracker - although I have to say it is kinda hard. On the day I was there it was really blowing a gale which didn’t really help me out, I have a tendency to hit a really high ball which meant I was heading left all day.
I know that there were a few holes that I definitely got the better of but overall I definitely think I can get back on that course and improve. I expect you’ll want to know what I went round in - well a true gentleman never reveals!!!
I’ve got another lesson on Thursday and then back on a different course on Friday . I’ll definitely be back up to Collingtree soon and when I do I’ll be back on form!!

there are quite a few good clubs in the northants area just wish i had more time to play them all well keep the hacking going enjoy oh and by the way if you dont like the wind then dont play Cold Ashby as its the highest course in the area and on a calm day the winds still a factor !!

i live next to collingtree and i am a member there, you are right about the wind it can be a nightmare, if ever you are over this way again you really should play it again the greens at the moment are superb they have them just right for the club championship this weekend. hope your next round is better, hope you post the next time you play
