This weekend sees the first festival of the year Radio 1’s Big Weekend featuring the Prodigy, Snow Patrol , Basement Jaxx, Maximo Park and more.
Preparation for me has been going on for quite a while now, Pete Tong and me are doing a set together at 5pm on Saturday, so I have been pulling out a selection of dance tunes; some old, some new, some even a bit left of centre! It’s gonna be a belter.
Back to back one tune in each it’s gonna be huge! Tong’s iconic but it’s not a problem because I’m packing some classics and the crowd will be totally up for it. It’s gonna be one of the highlights of the outdoor stage, we are sandwiched between Eric Prydz and 2manydjs.
Friday night will see the Essential Mix coming from a club in Swindon - me and my brother will be down there with a few mates and will be tearing it up on the dancefloor. Moyles and I are already in talks, debating about where is good to go out in Swindon on a Saturday night. If you have any ideas we definitely need your help.
Also for the first time this summer I mowed my lawn!! I’ve got a vegetable patch on the go as well - sweet peas, tomatoes, lettuce and beetroot. My spring onions didn’t do so well put em in a germinator and for some reason they died, not sure if i over watered them or dried out the soil - it’s kinda weird. But the patch is coming on strong! Green Fingers me!

Hi ya Vernon , Nice to see you got your veggie plot underway. Don`t worry about the onions sometimes you can get a bad batch of seeds I have had loads over the years, it`s good that you are doing your bit and important that kiddies know where thier food comes from.
