Vernon Kay's World
Like Zombies?!?

Whilst we’re all being tantalised by the imminent release of Modern Warfare 2, it’s easy to forget that the last Call of Duty game, World at War, is actually pretty darn good.

Whilst all COD fans breathed a collective sigh of frustration when it was first announced that World at War would tread the ‘been there, done that’  ground of World War 2, few could dispute the actual quality of the game itself, when we eventually got our mits on the shiny little disc and popped it in to our consoles.

One of the reasons World at War was so good in fact, was the surreal but damn fun mode that greeted you upon completion of the game; Nazi Zombies.

Holed up in a little shack after your plane crashes in the middle of a field cloaked in mist, your sole goal is to survive as long as you can as wave after wave of the Nazi undead do their best to, well…we assume, eat your brains…that’s what zombies do right?

Anyway, it was a cracking little mini-game that succeeded in being quite scary at times. So imagine our excitement when Treyarch (in a clever move that served at reminding everyone that just because Modern Warfare 2 is around the corner, it doesn’t mean World at War is dead and buried just yet) announced that a completely new zombie mode would be available to download through Xbox Live fairly soon.

Entitled ‘Shi no Numa’ (Japanese for ‘zombie swamp’) take a look at the trailer to see what we’re in for!
