So, Vernon Kay became a doctor yesterday as he was awarded an honorary degree from the University of Bolton for his contribution to the world of entertainment. He was invited to his hometown to collect the award and to say he was as pleased as punch to receive it would be something of an understatement!

Vernon wasn’t going to let the occasion go unmarked so he hosted a great night out at Bolton’s club ‘J2 and The Attic’ where fellow grads and locals joined in to raise a glass or two with Vernon to celebrate his graduation. Vernon and pals, including DJ Jaguar Skills took to the decks and the party went on into the early hours, with some great tunes and moves on the dance floor.
