Triathlon Training
March 25th, 2010

As the triathlon gets closer and closer training is getting tougher! Today was no exception. James Daly (No relation to Tess!) our trainer really put me through my paces today as he did on Monday with Gordon from The Sun, who is also taking part.

I assume James had a bad weekend and decided to take it out on us! As with every training session we always start off with a good 3-5 mins on the rowing machine, gets the ticker going!

Now the reason today was so hard was the fact that we did an hour non stop… Only 1 min rest here and there or when a little bit of sick decided to say “Hello!”

Rowing then stomach exercises followed by more rowing at a faster pace then shoulders and arms… More rowing then boxing and more stomach to finish! I’m sure everyone who has done a Triathlon will know that the core and legs are the key!

On Saturday’s Radio1 show Jensen Button told me that legs and core are the key muscle groups to work on… “No poop Sherlock!!!!!” My core is a Watneys  Party 7 right now and my legs are on a par with the corner flags at the Reebok!

Got alot of work to do but it’s all in a good cause and there is no way Smarty will finish before me… We have some good banter on the team which is a good thing cause no one wants to come LAST!!! I also don’t fancy looking at Gordon’s Ass for 3hrs… So I’ve gotta make sure he’s behind me!!

More cardio tomorrow and weights on Friday!

Thats if I can walk tomorrow!!!!
