Vernon’s Masters Disaster

Despite winning the competition last year’s EA Sports Tiger 12 Bizarre Masters, reigning champ Vernon had a howler yesterday afternoon at this year’s event held at The Grove golf course in Hertfordshire.

Vern was playing against SunSport columnist and former footballer Ian Wright with Les Ferdinand and The Sun’s Showbiz Editor, Gordon Smart.

Failing to win the annual competition, Vernon was supposed to hand over the prestigious Matalan tartan blazer to the newly crowned champ, but he was so proud of the priceless tux, he left it at home! The newly crowned winners Ian and Les were left with substitute tartan waistcoats instead.
