Being a lifelong NFL fan, Vernon experienced a bit of a dream come true last weekend when he was made ‘Honorary Team Captain’ of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their match against The New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

As well as performing all the duties an honorary captain should, Vernon also took part in a ‘kicking competition’ with fellow Radio 1 DJ Trevor Nelson at The Oval cricket ground - here’s a little peek at how it went down…
